The Laurel Arts District Exploratory Committee
The City of Laurel, Maryland has rezoned sections of the Main Street area to be an arts district. This is a first step toward applying for Arts District designation with the state of Maryland. Maryland was the first state to use arts districts to revitalize communities. Thank you, Maryland.
It is the job of the exploratory committee to gather monthly and discuss the needs and desires of the existing invested parties. At each meeting we try to work in conjunction with City Hall and the Laurel Board of Trade to build a management component that will resurrect Main Street.

No meetings have been scheduled since a few individuals took the E out of this informal organization and turned it into a legal entity called LADC. They have opened a bank account and self-appointed one another officers. They seem to be holding closed door meetings.
